10 ¶ Then Moses heard the people weep throughout their families, every man in the door of his tent, and the wrath of the Lord was grievously kindled: also Moses was grieved.

11 And Moses said unto the Lord, Wherefore hast thou [a]vexed thy servant? and why have I not found [b]favor in thy sight, seeing thou hast put the charge of all this people upon me?

12 Have I [c]conceived all this people? or have I begotten them, that thou shouldest say unto me, Carry them in thy bosom (as a nurse beareth the sucking child) unto the [d]land, for the which thou swarest unto their fathers?
